In the 18 months since Wet first emerged on the New York scene, the indie R&B group – comprising Kelly Zutrau, Joe Valle and Marty Sulkow – has garnered deserved hype and headlines.

Wet’s rapid journey from a DIY Brooklyn act to major-label signing (debut album Don’t You will be released on Columbia later this year) saw the band escape the pressures of city life by decamping to the isolated and ethereal outer boroughs of Hadley, Massachusetts.

Interspersed with a live studio version of Wet’s “Don’t Wanna Be Your Girl,” today’s short from Yours Truly captures the band’s extended creative process as part of the film collective’s ongoing artists-in-residence series.
