Stuttgart-based director Katharina Muske talks about her high-energy film about Traveller culture:

“The culture of the English and Irish Travellers is defined by the appreciation of horses as one of their most important status symbols. The Irish Travellers—formerly travelling people—were urged to settle down at the outskirts of society, where there is no room for keeping horses. This culture is threatened by extinction and could become a folkloric relic.

“This documentary is a companion to the Urban Cowboiz video game, and a hint to its background story. The culture of the travellers is authentic because they do not stage for the purposes of external representation, but, rather, for internal traditional reasons. This applies to the individual as well as the culture.”
