A new film from New York-based art collective Chez Conversations—Cleo Wade, Kate Greer, Liza Voloshin, Margot and Mia Moretti—finds inspiration in the Whitney Museum’s latest exhibition, Dreamlands: Immersive Cinema and Art, 1905–2016, exploring communication in a digital age.

Directed and shot by Liza Voloshin on 8mm in downtown Manhattan, the film is a dance between sensory perceptions and traditional fine arts, exploring the way they bend with technology. Layered over a score by Margot, the film features neuroscience and biological research conceptualized by Kate Greer, and poetry by Cleo Wade, Margot and Mia Moretti.
