It has been ten years to the day since Rebecca Black released her viral track "Friday." Auto-tuned to the teeth, her happy-go-lucky bop was subject to a maelstrom of online abuse, leading her to pull the music video off YouTube after NME officially declared it to be "the worst song of all time."
In this anniversary remix of her track, which has been a near-permanent fixture in every millennial's subconscious, 3OH!3, Big Freedia, and Dorian Electra all feature in an animated, PC-music adventure which howls of Charlie XCX's "Spicy."
Black wrote on social media: "Above all things, I just wish I could go back and talk to my 13-year-old self who was terribly ashamed of herself and afraid of the world." With a devoted social media following, a new single and collabs with Dorian Electra, 2021 might just be her year.
