Whether they're snapped striding through the Tuileries, with champagne in hand at a cocktail party or dancing on a banquette at Le Montana, French insiders Carine Roitfeld, Laetitia Crahay and Josephine de la Baume are among the most photographed and blogged about fashion icons to date. So we were naturally curious to hear their agendas for the most hyped night of the year—and more crucially, what they’ll be wearing.
Laetitia Crahay: Karl Lagerfeld’s right hand and the head of accessories and jewelry at Chanel (as well as artistic director of Maison Michel millinery) will be “in the Grenadine islands, on a boat, with a long Missoni poncho and plenty of Chanel and Maison Michel accessories.”
Josephine de la Baume: The actress, muse of the moment, and girlfriend of Mark Ronson has earmarked an unexpected uniform to model closer to home: “I plan to be in Switzerland with my family, wearing a men's lederhosen outfit.”
Carine Roitfeld: The reigning matriarch of French fashion and front-row superstar will be counting down her last month at Paris Vogue at the start of 2011, preparing to embark on as-yet-undisclosed personal projects. “New Year’s Eve is not my favorite day, so I have no plans,” she says, adding, “I guess I'll be wearing a nightgown.” We predict a return to sleepwear for next year's breakout trend.
