For German director Johannes Brugger the veil of suburban isolation provides the inspiration behind his latest music video for Occupanther, the indie electronica alias of the director’s twin brother, Martin Brugger. “Hermit” features on Occupanther’s debut EP, Chimera and stars a young body builder, lonely yet compulsive, making money by flaunting his body to the neighborhood’s spinsters. Brugger crystallizes the awkward encounter behind closed curtains, long before the internet offered up an encyclopaedia of NSFW imagery or cam-aided tête-à-tête.
