The Glasgow-born, London-based director shares the familial inspiration for his short:
“Getting On is an experimental character study based on a short monologue that my dad, Liam, wrote. When I first read it, I was grabbed by the poetic rhythm of the voice of the woman and how it encapsulated her sense of loneliness and isolation. The subtle humour and unexpected twist also made it ripe source material for me to adapt into a film.”
