Led by avant-classical pianist and composer David Moore, New York-based outfit Bing & Ruth’s “The Towns We Love Is Our Town” finds visual expression in a carnivalesque play of soft-focus lights and spinning fairground rides. Filmed at a village sea fair in the south of France, this study in synesthesia from director Sebastien Cros strives to colour each note. “The little girl watching people going round was just like someone listening to the track, watching it unfold and bringing its own load of memories, faces, colors,” says the director.
