Artist and director Doug Aitken’s latest project Underwater Pavilions sees a large-scale installation made up of three temporary sculptures beneath the ocean's surface off California’s Catalina Island.

Made in collaboration with The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, and Parley for the Oceans, a space for creative collaboration to raise awareness for environmental issues, the project exists as a living work of art and invites scuba divers and snorkelers to swim and explore the submerged structures.
