The first Louis Vuitton store, established in 1854, was a small workshop specializing in luggage for a nascent class of leisure travelers. Since then the brand has evolved in tandem with the concept of travel, an idea which has come to the fore in the recent Louis Vuitton Journeys films. This September, Louis Vuitton partnered with acclaimed director Wong Kar Wai to launch the Louis Vuitton Journeys Awards, a short film competition created to showcase the talents of emerging filmmakers. Today NOWNESS premieres a showreel of the 15 entries that made the final shortlist for the competition’s people’s choice award. You can vote for your favorite film until December 14 at the Journeys Awards website.
