Paying homage to classic wildlife documentaries, director Abdi Ibrahim and Neo-Neo studio imagine a world where humans become the subjects for the short film The Long Hour. Co-written by Yusuf Ahmed, and shot in the desert outside of Los Angeles, the 35mm visual short observes three ambiguous characters in the middle of nowhere, enjoying an hour at leisure from a distant, ambiguous timeline.

Reflecting on past, present, and future, The Lost Hour studies the concept of "backwards evolution” in a world at a point of technological saturation, reverting to a past where we had less, yet found contentment.
