Paris-based multimedia artist Maxime Rossi talks about his video art piece, Sister Ship (excerpted here):

“In the film we see silhouettes along the Congo River unfolding like a musical flip book. The soundtrack reflects the rhythm of images laid out in the book The Spirited Art of Sister Corita by Julie Ault, producing synaesthesia-like associations.

“I wanted to create an empathic relationship between an imaginary musical taken aboard a steamboat, and a psychedelic maze of real situations.”
