“It's about the rediscovery of identity,” says rising LA-based singer-songwriter Jessica Tonder about the underlying theme of her new video for “My Body is My Home.” “The crucial connection to our roots and the understanding and acceptance of the duality that exists in all of us.”

Featuring visual effects from Galen Pehrson, the idiosyncratic mind behind the trippy animated accompaniment to Devendra Banhart’s “Taurobolium,” and directed by Maximilla Lukacs, responsible for Courtney Love’s “You Know My Name,” the all-star collaboration also boasts choreography by Ryan Heffington, whose work on Sia's “Chandelier” won him an MTV award.

The haunting feel of the track, taken from forthcoming EP "A Rise of Peace," is perfectly mirrored by the performances of acclaimed dancer Jasmine Albuquerque and Tonder, whose turn in the video pays homage to her childhood passion. “I was a dancer for nine years when I was younger, but left it to focus in solely on my music,” she explains. “Movement is a vital form of expression, I believe it is one of the most elegant and also ravenous art forms.”
