If obtaining validation from acclaimed DJ and record magnate Giles Peterson is any marker of success, expect big things from British-Kenyan five-piece Owiny Sigoma Band. Having been commissioned by Peterson to record their third album, a new documentary charts the band's rise as they take their cross-continental sound clash back to its Kenyan roots and sees the band travel to frontman Joseph Numungo’s hometown of Siaya, record on the banks of Lake Victoria and take part in an all-night festival that will have you on your feet.
