Designers Agi & Sam, AKA Agape Mdumulla and Sam Cotton, reveal their take on east London casual cool in the last installment of filmmaker Dennis Swiatkowski’s One Minute street style series, filmed during London Fashion week and featuring the likes of stylist Ondine Azoulay, artist Quentin Jones and PR guru George MacPherson. “They’re portraits in motion, capturing personalities through music, movement, expression, and fashion—it’s street style 2.0,” says Swiatkowski of the films, which he initially developed for his Get Your Plane Right On Time blog. The Amsterdam-based photographer and filmmaker, whose work has appeared in Vogue Italia, Vice, NYLON, and Dutch culture tome Blend, dropped into London and pointed his lens at some of Fashion Week’s most stylish attendees. Mdumulla and Cotton founded menswear line Agi & Sam in 2010, and quickly garnered plaudits for their colorful bespoke prints and unconventional silhouettes with a humorous twist. Here they reveal their style credo and closet favorites. 

What was your fashion week highlight? 
It will definitely be our show tomorrow at the Royal Opera House for MAN sponsored by Fashion East and Topman. 

Describe your style in a sentence.
Agi: Colorful and positive hobo.
Sam: Blue on black, black on blue, with a splash of grey. 

What do you think is unique about London street style? 
Creativity is the most important part of London as a city. We are willing to try new things and we don’t conform to trends as much as most cities. Britain has historically been heavily responsible for the amalgamation of trends and scenes, from punk to Brit pop. We just wish the next one would hurry up and all be wearing Agi & Sam.

What’s the first thing you do once Fashion Week is over? 
Sleep, move studio and then move house. 

What is your most prized in-closet possession? 
Agi: Vintage grey wool long raglan coat.
Sam: Tom Ford spectacles that were given to me as a present.
