In this film that is equally as heartwarming as it is heartbreaking, a couple in their late twenties—Ebba and Marius—continually split up only to find their way back to each other again.

Nothing Ever Really Ends is told over the course of three consecutive New Years' Eves where the couple take stock of their life together. Norwegian director and writer Jakob Rørvik has a great grasp of the intricacies of relationships—ensuring that they are not clear cut, there isn't always a good guy vs a bad guy, nor does a breakup have to be filled with hyperbolical tears and drama.

Throughout Ebba and Marius's love/hate relationship, the viewer is kept on tenterhooks wondering if their relationship will ever work out. Perhaps the film's title suggests hope for the future?

Nothing Ever Really Ends is the winner of multiple accolades including a 2018 Webby Awards Honoree, a Short Of The Week pick, and Vimeo's runner up for Best Drama of 2017.
