Join director Georgia Hudson on a spiritual journey of the heart as she captures Nabs Hadi, a yoga and meditation teacher, medium and songwriter, delivering an original chant in Kurdish.

“I was captivated by the transcendental quality of Nabs’ voice and the atmosphere it creates,” says Hudson, who shot Hadi one tranquil summer’s evening in 2019.

During silent meditation Hadi can become inspired to write poems, such as the one featured in this film, that are filled with healing words which reverberate with power and emotion.

“I felt compelled to make something that was a simple, visual echo of his music," Hudson continues. "Relying on the living alchemy of 35mm film, a natural landscape and the graphic skeleton of a composed frame and simple words; a meditative offering.”

A translation of his song and a Spotify link to Nabs Hadi's album, Rainbow Man, follows:

On the path of spiritual love
With hazy eyes and unclear mind
I couldn’t see the end point

However, by listening to my intuition
I obtained a compass
It became a guide on a journey into my heart
Towards the light, towards the light

At the depth of my heart
I was greeted by pure love
Infinitely, infinitely, infinitely
