For the latest episode of our series Mother Nature, London-based director Georgia Hudson captures the creatively driven relationship of her friends, dance duo and life partners Mela Murder and Kaner Flex, as they prepare to have their first child:

“Mela Murder and Kaner Flex are having a baby. They are long-time collaborators of mine and I was moved to be able to join them in their world and make this film. I asked them to find a way to express the creation of their baby girl, Amethyst, through dance.

“What prevailed inside and outside of their dance was this overwhelming sense of Mela’s fierceness and whole-hearted courage as she is gearing her body, mind and world up to be ready for Amethyst's birth. We also saw the vulnerability in them both as they are caught in a tentative moment, like when you are about to jump into the unknown.”
