“Everyone has a breaking point, regardless of their age, gender, race or physical ability,” says director Clara Aranovich, “and I enjoy films about characters approximating and tackling said moments.” The Chilean-Argentine filmmaker cast the Australian Caitlin Stasey alongside actor Edi Gathegi (X-Men: First Class) as her two blind leads in the video for “Vision,” the latest track from American singer-songwriter Matthew E. White.

Stasey and Gathegi, both able-sighted, and Aranovich undertook a varied research process, ranging from meeting experts at the Los Angeles Braille Institute to studying the YouTube channel of “Blind Film Critic” TommyEdisonXP, in order to understand better the personal experience of visual impairment. Concluding with a fight scene, and a dance choreographed by Jillian Meyers, who has worked with Janet Jackson and Kylie Minogue, the video sees Stasey and Gathegi take on a trio who are harassing them due to their impairment, a topic close to Aranovich’s heart.
