Shot entirely during quarantine, NYC-based band Lewis Del Mar release their music video for The Ceiling, which was captured in a single take over 14 hours.
NOWNESS collaborators, rubberband. were the directors and concept creators behind this electrifying film. "Made during coronavirus, completely in quarantine,” say rubberband, “we attempted to distil the energy of this song into a music video with no compromise.”
The film is charged with an exciting, lo-fi aesthetic, which was achieved by animating the project using inkjet film and scanning each frame one by one.
"We like to think of creativity like gas: it expands to fit the container it’s in,” the directorial duo continues. “Further we like to think this video would've been an incredible piece even if it was made before the pandemic."
