Khomanta is a 3D film that travels across spaces, customs, and objects as a product of post-colonialism hybridization, using Peruvian art and fashion as the main context. It is an exploration of hybrid Peruvian culture, fashion, and identity; seeking to revalue culture through a different discourse, one that questions gender duality and traditions in popular art.

The art director behind this project is Fiorella Pomarino, a Peruvian fashion film director who creates awareness of Latin culture through non-narrative films, photography, and drawings. Khomanta was conceived during the pandemic and realized by Apus, an animation studio based in Lima

Four Peruvian designers— Annaïs Yucra, Paulo and Roberto Ruiz Muñoz of DNI, Mauricio Cabrera, and Edward Mendoza—were contacted for the project to express different facets of Peruvian culture. The result is an uplifting coalescence of indigenous pride, national identity, and modern ingenuity.
