For the latest episode of Directors Talk, London-based editor and director Abolfazl Talooni talks to British filmmaker Ken Loach about the importance of editing for creating a cohesive vision. A pioneer of social realist filmmaking, Loach is known for his vast filmography, including the recent BAFTA and Palme d’Or award-winning feature I, Daniel Blake.

"The editing process is a crucial component of social realist filmmaking," says Talooni. "After a fifty-year career, Ken Loach's socio-political views effortlessly render into his decisions in the editing room."
