For over 40 years Jean-Charles de Castelbajac has marched to the beat of his own drum, creating a print and color-splashed style synonymous with early '90s fashion—one that saw Madonna don a coat made entirely of teddy bears in 1994’s fashion satire Prêt-à-Porter.

For the latest installment of My Place, the lively designer invited filmmaker Barbara Anastacio inside into his courtyard-fronted apartment, littered with his suitably colorful art collection and the products of celebrity collaborations, including his work with Kanye West.
