A taxi driver based in Yokohama, Japan, Issui Enomoto uses his time between picking up and dropping off passengers to document the bustling streets he calls his workplace. Using a multiple-exposure technique, the composite images he captures crystalize the hum of the port city just south of Tokyo, which he likens to a sea he travels through in his submarine-like car. “Like great pressure acts on an object in the deep sea by a physical law," he posits, "the seawater components put fierce pressure on my five senses.”
