French dancer, model and architect Arthur Cadre makes his directorial debut with this Nina Simone-soundtracked dance video set on a foggy desert road. ‘’With this film, I wanted to give visual support to Nina Simone’s emotional struggle. I wanted to make the camera dance as much as her thoughts.’’

The camera pans out from lead dancer Dani Flor's face. With a resolute expression, his eyes lock onto his unseen audience. Inner Thoughts signifies the protagonist's emotional journey, which he must venture on alone.

"With this film, I wanted to give visual support to Nina Simone's emotional struggle," says Cadre, who chose the musician's 1964 track, "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood," to complement the emotional turbulence of this short film. "I wanted to make the camera dance as much as her thoughts."

Standing on a deserted foggy road, seven dancers embody the protagonist's emotions and pensive spirit. Synchronized, disordered, pleasant and dangerous, those thoughts come to life in a rousing, expressive dance with his inner thoughts.
