Black-owned creative studio Equator Proudctions (founded by Brooklyn-born filmmaker Anthony Prince Leslie) has partnered with newly-formed nonprofit In The Blk to release five films that showcase global Black designers and creatives. The series was executively produced by Ashley Cimone with lead costume design by Ade Samuel and Memsor Kamarake. Filmed across Lagos, London, Los Angeles and New York, these films speaks to the solidarity found within Black communities.

Set in the creative metropolis of Lagos, director Ademola Falomo begins his film in reverse order, starting at the end of a party and finishing in a factory where the guests' clothes were made.

“Solidarity and independence; when I think of these words I think of agreement and self as their respective synonyms," says Famolo." As Black people, the way we recognize and appreciate ourselves is by embracing our individuality; what makes us stand out and our distinct characteristics and features. In other words, the agreement with the self is what makes up our identity.”
