The followup to Hello, released earlier this year, Polish pianist and vocalist Hania Rani reveals the exclusive music video for her latest track Dancing with Ghosts – directed by Paris-based twins, Sara and Nadia Szy, and featuring guest vocals from American-Canadian singer-songwriter Patrick Watson. Shot entirely on film, the video features an intimate circle of friends and creatives, occupying the Paris landscape through movement.

Detailing the inspiration behind the setting, Sara and Nadia Szy explained, "It was only natural to choose Paris as the backdrop, a city pulsating with raw emotions - love, solitude, and most importantly, hope. While incorporating dance as a medium to explore these themes within an urban setting, we felt that long, uninterrupted sequences best allow for a complete immersion into this world. Since the first phone call with Hania, it felt like a connection of like-minded personalities and sensibilities.”

Musing on the sense of collaboration, Rani shared, “It was a very holistic experience for me - our group of strangers turned out to think in a very similar way which allowed us to cross barriers and discuss ideas that I would never have considered before. I was also extremely happy to work with a team of amazing dancers and choreographers who brought such great energy and ideas to the project”.

Taken from her latest album Ghosts, released on Gondwana Records, Dancing with Ghosts presents a new perspective in alignment with the album’s themes, signalling a new start for the acclaimed artist.
