British filmmaker Raphael Chipperfield captures a reflective moment with Italian publisher Franco Maria Ricci, as he opens up about his friend Jorge Luis Borges—the Latin American writer who was fascinated by mazes, imagination, play, and chaos—and show us around the labyrinth that Ricci constructed in his honor, one of the biggest labyrinths in the world.
Ricci reads from one of the stories Borges wrote about mazes, and recalls the metafiction writer's visits to rural Italy. A performance by premiere doom band Sunn O))) on site of the labyrinth is woven through the atmospheric narrative.
