Singer-songwriter Charlotte Kemp Muhl seductively licks her drumstick and the roof of Zaha Hadid’s venerated Vitra Campus fire station skates across its base as blogging sensation FashGif reimagines a year of NOWNESS. Melbourne-based Greta Larkins, who has animated stills for the likes of Kenzo, Vogue Hommes Japan and Nicola Formichetti, gained a cult following with her tongue-in-cheek take on runway imagery. Last year saw “GIF” named the Oxford Dictionaries USA word of the year, as the ever-booming format became the subject of social media platforms Paddle8 and Tumblr’s Moving the Still exhibition. “I love the comments people leave when they re-post the GIFs,” says Larkins, whose satirical eye has brought Giambattista Valli sheepskin bag to life and a Marc Jacobs sweater dispense endless cans of cola.“One of my favorites to date was along the lines of, 'I don't usually like fashion but this is awesome.'”
