In a new film by Tehran-born director Ali Mahdavi, the world’s most famous contemporary burlesque performer Dita Von Teese performs a futuristic striptease, which sees physical clothes replaced by lights, giving the illusion of constantly changing costumes—from twinkling lingerie to a Jessica Rabbit-style red dress. Here, Crazy Horse Paris’s chief creative officer Andrée Deissenberg talks about the mesmerizing collaboration:

“Our lighting and projections keep the mystery of where Dita's skin ends and her reflection begin, leaving audiences wondering what they are really seeing.

“To create this striptease of lights, we called on a star team of contemporary artists including director Ali Mahdavi, musician Sébastien Tellier and technical studio D/Labs. We're hoping this is an act that makes the world stop still.”
