Moody, modern nostalgia pulses through the Dior Homme collections, as harnessed by creative director Kris Van Assche. The nuances of the Dior Homme man, however, are often best crystallized on film, and it’s no different with the latest collaboration between the designer and Willy Vanderperre. An avid documenter of the fashion house, Vanderperre cast breakout actor Boyd Holbrook as the wistful model for the eveningwear-dominated collection. Following his turns in Milk and Gone Girl, Holbrook brought hypnotic realism to the film: a portrait of an American in Paris.
