Australian-born, New York-based filmmaker Jason Evans talks about how he captured the otherworldly moves of up-and-coming American dancer Taveaus ‘DynaMc’ Woods:   

“I saw Taveaus as an intergalactic traveller, engaging with a new world through his unique physical presence and sense of curiosity, just like The Man Who Fell to Earth or The Brother From Another Planet before him. Shooting on Canal Street, New York, we tried to isolate Taveaus within the crowd, following him as he floated down the busy street in a continuous motion of improvised dance.
