Coinciding with the release of his latest single Alive!, UK artist Bakar collaborates with director duo rubberband for a new music video capturing the London landscape at rush-hour. Available now via Black Butter, the track’s release comes  in close succession of previous single Halo Freestyle (Already Glowing), revealed earlier this month.

Framing Camden native Bakar in performance mode, the music video sees the genre-defying artist bring street traffic to a standstill in Central London, commanding the attention of passersby with an emotive sequence centered on all-encompassing movement. Posed as a modern-day Gene Kelly, Bakar pours London grit into a reimagined rendering of Singing in the Rain’s most iconic performance, weaving between cars and pedestrians while overcome by dance. Lensed by Jason Sondock and Simon Davis, the release expands on the award-winning filmmaking duo’s dynamic video work – pushing the boundaries of convention by feeding original performance into an intimate snapshot of the British capital.
