Documenting everything from ancient moss-covered woodlands to the streets of his old Brooklyn neighbourhood, Japanese photographer and Wallpaper* contributor Yasuyuki Takagi is known for his quiet vernacular style. 

In a new film, the Pratt graduate photographer and filmmaker captures the spirit of the people who occupy the once-bustling neighbourhood of Arakicho, central Tokyo. Formerly a lively hub replete with many geisha tea houses, the area is now filled with small, specialist restaurants fighting to make a living as change happens all around them.
