Anticàmera is not simply a locations agency, but a collector of public places—using the camera’s lens as an archaeologist would use a trowel by bringing light to Milan’s hidden architectural gems. In this film, we are treated to a selection of seemingly everyday buildings that, through Italian filmmaker Michele Foti’s attentive treatment—coupled with Mara Miccichè's beguiling soundtrack—become objects of alluring fascination in their own right.

Writer Silvia Schirinzi, who has previously written about the Italian spaces agency for Vogue Italia, explains the organisation’s compelling approach to the built environment: “Anticàmera have a penchant for all things Italian, by picking places that stand out—through their history and uniqueness—among different Milanese neighbourhoods. Their job is to re-animate these alluring locations with their ideas, while at the same time never giving away the architecture’s location. That part of the story is yours.”
